#3. Cut down on caffeine.
Nothing leads to restless nights like caffeine does! If you are having trouble sleep, cut down or cut out caffeine, especially later in the day. Keep in mind that caffeine can stay in your system for up to six hours, so think twice before having that afternoon cup of joe.
#4. Soak up natural light.
Part of the reason why so many people have trouble sleeping is the lack of exposure to natural light. Natural light actually helps to promote a good sleep/rest cycle, so make it a point to get outside during the day.
